As Erik powered his way past *everyone* to earn himself a one-on-one with the Mud Shark's goalie, a late penalty away from the action prevented what would most certainly have been a Great Moment in Star's hockey. We will never know what would have become of Erik's assault on the orange net, but from this photo it seems even the goalie expected a lamp lighting.

With every game there are more shining Stars, and today was no exception. Lessa presented a powerful defensive force today holding back repeated offensive actions, and contributed a significant portion of today's outstanding defensive performance.

Broderick was outstanding in goal, earning the MVP award for the Bellingham Stars. This early goal was the only goal, as Broderick and his teammates shut down the Mud Sharks for the remaining 3 periods.
